FREEBIRDS Summer Wrestling Camp

 

UPDATE: The Lancaster Freebirds Wrestling Club will practice at Lancaster High School. The kids division, K-8th grades, will practice on Monday's and Wednesday's from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. The kids practice will start on February 4th, 2008, at 5:30 PM. There will not be practice on the following dates: 2/11/08 & 2/18/08 due to holidays.   High school (Cadet and Junior) season will begin on February 25th. Practices will be held at Quartz Hill and Lancaster High Schools. Practice will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 PM on Monday and Wednesday at Lancaster High School in the wrestling room; 3:30 to 5:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursdays at Quartz Hill High School in the wrestling room. Girl's only sessions will meet at Lancaster from 3:00 to 4:30 PM on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. For more information on the girls only sessions contact Coach Mortensen.  Open practices for those above the age of 18 will be on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 until 9:00 PM. The cost for registration is $35; which includes USA Wrestling membership card and Freebirds club dues. This is a one time contribution and is good for the entire season. Just complete these forms and bring them with you. You may also purchase your card online. You still need to bring the forms with you to your first practice. If the card is purchased online you will be asked to contribute $5 for the club dues. Las Vegas Junior Western Regional and Senior National Championships were held April 23rd thru 26th, 2008, and the Freebirds Wrestling Club brought home the hardware!!! Jourdan Chavez finished 6th place in Junior Western Freestyle; Jason Fonzi finished 6th in Junior FILA Greco-Roman, Jason French became the Veterans A Division National Champion in both Greco-Roman and Freestyle and Coach Hayhurst finished third in Veterans Division B in Greco-Roman and Freestyle. Nick Woslum, 2nd Place Novice 105 lbs.; Jesse Strader, 7th Place Junior 135 lbs.; Steven Woslum 5th place 145 lbs. Great Job guys!!!
